Weekend Roundup 06/07th September 2015
U 12’s Kinsealy Boys v Willows – Poppintree Park, 06/09/015
Following the summer layoff, this seasons opener had Kinsealy Boys take a short trip to Poppintree for an early kick off against Willows. Kinsealy were all glad to be back playing competitive football and lined out in the now familiar 3-3-2 formation Trysten in goals, Keane Squire, Luke and Dan at the back, midfield was Finn, Cian Kelly Diilon in his familiar right wing role, Daragh played off Adam who was the starting striker. The away side started strongly, witht he midfield dominant and pinned Willows back into their own half from the whistle. Cian Kelly was winning almost every loose ball and finding Dillon on a regular basis. It was from a move like this that Kinsealy thought they had opened the scoring when Daragh Mooney latched onto a loose ball and calmly slotted past the keeper on the right but was harshly judged offside. It wasn’t a along wait for the first though, when Dillon found some space on the right, cut inside and found the bottom corner – the goal had been coming for a while and was soon was followed by another as Daragh picked up the ball just outside the box, used his strength to hold off a defender and finished with his left past the onrushing keeper. Kinsealy remained dominant in the first half with their defence dealing with anything that Willows could throw at them and Trysten only having to deal with a few corners.
At half time the message to the team was more of the same, as the energy levels, passing, defending and general play on display were of a really high standard.
We lined up for the second half with an experimental front two of Cian and Finn and it was Finn who forced the third when he deliver a stinging cross which was bundled in by a Willows defender who just couldn’t deal with the pace of the ball. Dillon continued to cause problems on the right and was unlucky that a few of his crosses just evaded Finn and Cian.
The second half was a much more competitive affair with Trysten, Dan, Luke, Finn and Matteo all called into action to help restrict a resurgent Willows to just the two goals. However, in fairness to all the excellent displays the second half will be remembered for two Scott Green wonder strikes – both absolute belters, the first curled into the top right hand corner from five yards outside the left hand side of the box and the second a fierce drive into the left top corner from the right edge of the box.
Daragh managed another before the end to make it a comprehensive 6 -2 victory and our first winning start to a season ever.
Thanks to all our supporters who were up early to support the lads and roll on next game

Under 9’s Summer League v Swords Celtic
We had a great game yesterday up in Balheary v’s swords Celtic .
We started great going 1-0 up thanks to Ryan Herra but found ourselves 4-2 down after 2 of the 3 x 20 minute sections of the game. Amazingly with all credit to our lads they fought back in the last 20 minutes scoring 5 unanswered goals. Oisìn Madden lead the scoring with 3 goals , Ryan Herra grabbed another goal to end up with 2 . Eoin Roddy scored with a beautiful , cheeky toe poke and Josh Udoh chipped in with his own fine goal.
Charlie Cahill captained the side for the day and lead by example with a commanding defensive display.
Congrats to all the kids as it was a fantastic team effort with everyone working really hard for each other. Here’s a few pics of the lads celebrating after the game

Weekend Roundup 26th April 2015
U 11’s Kinsealy Boys v Maynooth – Malahide Castle, April 25th 2015
After last weeks narrow 2-1 defeat against the league champions, Kinsealy faced into their final game of the season knowing that a win would secure the runner up spot. They were facing a Maynooth side that had already taken three points from them, conditions were not ideal for football as the rain poured incessantly for the whole game. Following a slow start, the home side conceded a lot of possession to the visitors but thanks to the excellent defensive work by Keane, Luke and Finn, Maynooth were unable to make any real chances and Tristan was never really called into action. Soon, Kinsealy began to exert their influence on proceedings, with Scott providing the steel in the centre of the park, his midfield partners Cian Kelly and Dillon Farrelly took control of the play and provided some decent chances for the strike pairing of Adam and Daragh. Dillon came very close to opening the scoring when a Maynooth clearance fell to him but his technically perfect volley just went over the bar.
Cian Kelly provided the assist for the opener, he cut inside from his berth on the right, delivered a pinpoint accurate cross field ball to Daragh on the edge of the Maynooth box, he chipped the ball over the first defender and then placed his half volley into the bottom corner. Kinsealy remained dominant for the remainder of the first half with Adam Hickey testing the keeper on a number of occasions.
Our lads continued to dominate in the second half with Cian Kelly unlucky on a few occasion not to score. Robbie playing on the left wing made sure Keane got plenty of cover and also got the better of his man on a number of occasions. The second goal was coming and it arrived came when Adams clever movement in the box created space for him, Daragh whipped in a cross and Adam tapped the ball over the line.
Maynooth got a second wind and they really went for it, pushing Kinsealy back into their own box for the last five minutes, Matteo put his body on the line for a few clearances and Tristan was called into action on a number of occasions including one ridiculous stop from a close range blaster.
So, a rollercoaster of a season finished with us claiming the runners up spot, we had the same goals scored and conceded as the winners which shows how tight the league was, but most importantly the lads played some wonderful football in the most sporting manner imaginable. They were amazing representatives for their club and made their coaches and parents very proud.
Thanks all to all our loyal supporters who also always show the club in a very positive way.
Training and matches will continue up until June.

However …. They did not let nerves get the better of them . Despite a nervy first few minutes we got our first goal thanks to Pawel…. And the goals kept coming. We settled into the match and we kept the home side quiet controlling the game with great teamwork and spirit. Into the second half and we started where we left off and the goals kept coming. We finished our match with a 6-1 well deserved victory. The support for the team was incredible and it was like we had an extra person on the pitch … Thanks to all the parents for coming out but it was worth it as they saw a great little team earn a good victory against decent opponents. Muriel McCory Cup Q.Final, U10’s v Dunboyne FC
Kinsealy Boys under 10’s in Epic Game
The under 10’s team today were playing in the quarter final of the Muriel McCory Cup against Dunboyne FC. It would be difficult to imagine if there was a better match this year in Kinsealy Court pitch. The pitchside was buzzing with supporters and the match was gripping from the kick off…. End to end football and great defence from both teams. After 15 mins a perfect pass from Ryan into the box had Luke Kelly on the end of it and he took his goal really well. That set us on our way. The second half kicked off and again more end to end play. A real team effort saw us hold off Dunboyne until 5 minutes before the final whistle when they got the ball over the line . Unbelievably it was 1-1. Extra time and parents, supporters and coaches had their hearts on their mouths. Extra time finished 1-1 and on to penalties. After preparing for penalties in training during the week our players stepped forward and Pawel, Ryan and Liam Aylward scored and that all we needed as our man of the match – goalkeeper – Josh Asimoah impressed throughout the game and saved all penalties to put us through to the semi-finals. Although Josh was man of the match this truly was a team effort. We won 4-1 on penalties. Everyone played fantastic and it was hard to name man of the match… Special thanks to everyone who stayed and supported the lads…. They saw a great match – the Dunboyne manager said it was the best match he was involved in … 10/10 to Daniel, Ryan, Luke, Dillon, Cian, Jack , Evan, Josh, Pawel, Liam, Jack Mack and Zach Deere. Bring on the semi-final…. If it’s half as good as this match it will be a cracker !!!!
Under 11’s Match Report
Malahide Utd v Kinsealy Boys – Malahide Castle, March 21st 2015The sun shone as a sensational Kinsealy side smashed six screamers past local rivals Malahide to ensure that the battle for top spot in the league rumbles on. Although technically away from home, Kinsealy made the most of their local knowledge of the pitch and dominated the early exchanges, spearheading the new 3 -3 2 formation were Dillon and Daragh who combined well and were unlucky on a couple of occasions before getting the breakthrough when Farrelly skipped past his marker and crossed to find Mooney unmarked at the back post for an easy finish. It was almost deja vu for a second but the ball bounced awkwardly and Daragh shot narrowly wide. Kinsealy played some really attractive football in the first half with Scott Green bossing the central area and forming a vital link from defence to attack, the changing cast of wingers (Robbie, Cian, Dan and Dillon) got behind their markers on a regular basis to put in some dangerous crosses, Adam Hickey came closest from one of these, with a cheeky looping header that eluded the Malahide defence and keeper but went narrowly over the bar. The away side were also denied a stonewall penalty when Daragh was rugby tackled in the box but it finished one nil at half time. All that was required in the team talk was to ask for more of the same and the lads didn’t disappoint, after a strong start from Kinsealy, Malahide managed a rare counter attack and somehow managed to nab an equaliser. They may well have wished that the hadn’t, as it sparked an unbelievable five goal spree by our lads.A resurgent Robbie Coyle was instrumental in most of the second goals as himself and Scott effectively snubbed out any Malahide attacks before they had time to develop.
In order then ………
Robbie Coyle got goal number two, when following his own corner, the ball wasn’t cleared and moving in to the edge of the box, Robbie calmly swept the ball through a crowded penalty area into the bottom left hand corner.
Next up was Dillon, who in a prime example of the excellent passing on display linked up with Daragh and together their one – two passing cut through the Malahide defence and Dillon finished calmly past the keeper. He was also unlucky to not get another when later in the game he struck the bar with a rocket strike.
Free kick specialist Luke Colbert then struck a beauty into the top corner from just inside the opposition half to make it four.
Adams hard work on the day was rewarded when Dillon chipped the ball over the defence to find him unmarked at the back post and the in form striker made no mistake.
For the last, Cian Kelly also got his reward. All day he had been making excellent runs on the right wing and as Daragh picked him out with a cross field pass, Cian collected the ball and jinked inside the home defence and struck a sweet low drive past the keeper.
Although they didn’t have the busiest day of their season, the defenders (Matteo, Luke, Dan, Finn and Keane) all made sure any danger was snuffed out effectively, leaving Tristan to mostly enjoy the early morning sunshine.
The parents really enjoyed a wonderful mornings football, full of fine passing, clinical finishing and excellent teamwork

Under 11’s
Kinsealy Boys v Balbriggan FC- Malahide Castle, March 14th 2015
Following their disappointing exit from the cup last week to Rivermount, Kinsealy faced Balbriggan in what is becoming a very closely contested league. A win for the visitors would have put them right back in contention, however Kinsealy were determined to maintain their excellent home form. The lads flew out of the traps and for the first 10 minutes Kinsealy were camped in the Balbriggan half, winning corner after corner and forcing a few early saves from the visitors keeper. It was the fifth corner that broke the deadlock when Dillon Farrelly whipped in a beautiful cross to find Scott Green unmarked on the edge of the six yard box and he headed cleanly past the keeper for the opener. Kinsealy continued to dominate and doubled their lead when following a series of nice passes from the midfield the ball broke to Daragh Mooney who failed to connect cleanly with the ball, but the resulting shot fooled everyone and left the keeper stranded for what will surely end up being crowned the flukiest goal of the season. An uncharacteristic error from the solid home defence let the visitors in, and Tristan stood no chance as their striker finished low into the corner. The first half finished 2-1 with Kinsealy looking comfortable for the win. However, whatever the Balbriggan coach said at half time worked wonders on his team as they pushed hard for an equaliser, the Kinsealy midfield and defence were called into frequent action and Dan, Luke, Cian, Keane, Finn, Matteo and especially Robbie all put in critical tackles to maintain the lead. Tristan also made some important saves, in particular one from a dangerous free kick taken from just outside our box. Kinsealy played some nice counter attacking football and Dillon was very unlucky not to make it three when his drive from outside the box beat everyone but cannoned off the post. Adam Hickey finally settled the nerves with an excellent goal, Daragh split the away sides defence with a clear through ball and Adam showed nerves of steel as he dinked an exquisite chip over the onrushing keeper for the last goal of the game.
It was a very enjoyable game played in a very sporting manner by both sides, and as usual the home support was excellent.
Weekend Roundup 28th February 2015
Swords Celtic v Kinsealy Boys – Balheary, Feb 28th 2015
The lads were back in league action following their close win in the cup two weeks ago and only had to make the short trip to Balheary to face local rivals Swords Celtic. Kinsealy started very strong with the central midfield pairing of Dillon Farrelly and Cian Kelly linking up well and playing a couple of nice balls through to striker Daragh Mooney only for him to be denied by the keeper and narrowly shoot wide. Kinsealy were playing some nice football and were winning all the individual battles when Keane Squires broke up a Swords attack on the left and launched a defence splitting through ball for Mooney who rounded the last man and finished with a low drive past the keeper. Two minutes later it was almost a carbon copy except this time Dillon was the provider, he angled a slide rule pass that took out the entire defence for Daragh to take his second of the day. Kinsealy really clicked in this half with the midfield moving and passing the ball very well, Dan, Luke, Keane, Finn and Matteo all made sure that Tristan saw very little action. Adam Hickey was unlucky to not add a third when he struck a half volley just over from a Kinsealy corner. The second half was a tighter, scrappy affair with the home side picking up two yellow cards. Tristan made a few smart saves and earned his clean sheet. Kinsealy created a number of chances with Adam, Dillon (sweet volley), Scott and Cian all unlucky to not end on the scoresheet. Most of these chances came from Robbies good work on the left hand side of midfield.
Overall, an excellent team performance and a well deserved 2-0 win, as always thanks to our marvellous supporters.
Weekend Roundup 14th and 15th February 2015
Malahide Utd v Kinsealy Boys – Malahide Castle, Feb 14th 2015
Kinsealy were very happy to be back playing in Malahide following a tough January which saw them play away three times in a row and only return with one point, their opponents Malahide had enjoyed a very different run getting 7 points from their last 3 games and moving up to fourth in the league. The game was a very tight affair with both defences dominating the play and very few openings for the forwards. Malahide had a series of corners in the first half that Kinsealy struggled with and they came closest to scoring from one of these. Only for Tristan making an unbelievable reaction save from a point blank effort we would have trailed at half time. The second half again yielded very little in the way of goal mouth action as the two evenly matched teams effectively cancelled each other out. Nil all at the final whistle and nil all at the end of the first half of extra time, it looked like the dreaded penalty shootout was inevitable. However, the breakthrough came when following some good Kinsealy pressure the ball broke in the box to Daragh Mooney who dispatched it into the net for what looked like the winner, but Malahide were determined to get something out of the game and scored an absolute screamer of a free kick from 40 yards to level things up.
Both sides kept pushing for the win and with two minutes to go a low drive from Robbie Maguire proved too tough for the Malahide keeper who could only parry the shot, Daragh Mooney was the first to react and prodded the ball over the line.
Kinsealy held out for the win and progress to the next round of the cup. A very nervous game for the parents and an excellent win for the lads.
The Under 12’s played hosts to Marino AFC and this also finished 1-1 after extra time with Alex Andreucetti scoring for the home side but the lads won 3-2 on penalties with Jack O’Toole, Jack Walsh and Darragh Cannon all converting from the spot and keeper Ben Dunne was heroic with 2 great saves in the shootout and a few matchwinning stops during the game. A few pics attached thanks to Camilla McKenna

U 11’s Maynooth v Kinsealy Boys
Kinsealys poor run of results on the road continued today with a 1-0 loss to Maynooth. We had a full squad to pick from and the lads performed very well, after going behind early to a free kick. Kinsealy dominated the first half but just didn’t get rewarded as cross after cross somehow never managed to fall right for the visitors. It was more of the same in the second half as Maynooth remained under pressure for the full 30 minutes, but we had not luck at all on the day and could be forgiven for feeling that we could have been there until next Saturday and still not managed to get a goal.
A much better team effort, with a lot for the lads to be proud about. Looking forward to a home fixture for a change.
Thanks again to all our loyal supporters
Sunday 08th February
U12’s Balbriggan v Kinsealy Boys -The Under 12’s travelled to Balbriggan today with both teams lying in joint second in the league and it was one goal in the end that decided this game. Kinsealy Boys dominated the first half with Liam Millerick and Darragh Cannon bossing the midfield as Kinsealy constantly pressed but shot after shot was turned away by the Balbriggan keeper and his defence and the home side got the vital goal of the game against the run of play midway through the first half. The electric pace of the game continued throughout the game both sides launching attacks at each other in this well matched affair. Keeper Ben Dunne again in fine form with some great stops and lads threw everything at the opposition but could not find the equaliser they so badly deserved. Well done to the lads for their effort and hopefully they’ll bounce back with a win next week. Thanks to the parents that travelled and were a great support to the kids. Man of the match Tommy McKenna.

Under 9’s v Maynooth Managers Report
We lost the match 1-0 away to Maynooth who are a good team. We dominated the match from start to finish. Couldn’t pick out any individual as the team all played great. It was 0-0 at half time and we were confident of a Victory but deadlocked despite constant attack on their goal with Ryan Kelly hitting the post twice. They drove forward on a break and scored late in the match. We threw everything at them but couldn’t get that vital goal. Boys were disappointed as we definitely did not deserve to lose this match. We were great all over the pitch and out played them and out passed them but it wasnt to be. Great confidence from that performance and God help the team that plays us next week
U 11’s Dunboyne AFC v Kinsealy Boys
On a dismal day, Kinsealy suffered a deja vu defeat against a dedicated Dunboyne side who did the double over their league challengers. Kinsealy again were short of players as regulars Scott, Dillon and Keane were all unavailable, so massive thanks to Andrew Kelly who joined us for the day and put in an excellent shift at the back. There really was very little between the teams, when Dunboyne took the lead with an unstoppable shot late on in the first half. Adam Hickey levelled it in the second when he struck a sweet drive that squirmed under the home keeper. Both sides had their chances to win it, but as in their first encounter Dunboyne managed a scrappy winner near the end of the game as the visitors tired. All the lads really tried to get the result for the club, but it wasn’t to be today. Special mention for Cian Kelly who put in an exceptional shift, and Tristan who was also on top of his game today. And thanks again to the parents for their ongoing support of the team……..
Sunday 01st Feb 2015 Under 12’s v Drumcondra FC
Todays home fixture was moved to Drumcondra last minute due to the bad weather , their pitch was’nt much better but the league fixture went ahead.regardless and it was first blood to Kinsealy midway through the first half when good link up play between Aaron Porter and Alex Andreucetti played in striker Jack Walsh and the in form striker finished well into the bottom corner to give his team the lead and thats the way it stayed until the break. The home side drew level early in the 2nd half when a free kick routine left Kinsealy keeper Ben Dunne unsighted to draw the game level but Kinsealy took the lead again within a minute when clever play from Andreucetti found Noel Herra who finished well to restore the lead. Kinsealy took control of the game when playmaker Andreucetti added his name to the score sheet and gave the visitors a 2 goal cushion with a good finish. Herra was unlucky not to get a second when his fine effort struck the post but Drumcondra dug in and pegged a goal back with a superb long range effort again leaving keeper Dunne with no chance. There were chances both ends near the end but Kinsealy were in control with both Andreucetti and Walsh so close to grabbing a late goal and Dunne made a matchwinning close range save near the end. Final score KBFC 3 Drumcondra 2 a great team performance with all the lads contributing in the second half sealed the points for the visitors. Man of the Match Alex Andreucetti
Weekend Roundup 24th and 25th January 2015
U11′s Sandyhill Shangan FC v Kinsealy Boys – Naul Park, Jan 24th 2015
Following their excellent run in the HHFC Friendship Cup, Kinsealy were back in league action against a Sandyhill team who are unbeaten in the league, if there was a winner today, they would top the U11c table.
Conditions for football were not great with a heavily sodden pitch making it difficult for both teams to get their passing games working effectively. Sandyhill were a big physical team and maximum effort was required by our lads to match them in the individual battles. Chances for both sides were few and far between in the first half and it finished up 0-0.
It was a defender who took the game by the scruff of the neck when Luke Colbert surged forward, beat the entire Sandyhill team only to be denied by their keeper who just met the low drive at his right hand post. He was not to be denied for too long though, a well worked short corner taken by Robbie Maguire fed Daragh Mooney who spotted Luke free in the centre. Lukes first time strike (in his new boots) was unstoppable and the visitors took a slender lead.
Sandyhill didn’t let their heads drop and launched a wave of attacks that an absolutely excellent defence of Keane Squires, Luke and Dan Copeland repelled. Both Dan and Keane probably had their best displays of the season. Tristan was also increasingly called into action and didn’t disappoint with his acrobatics.
With the game stretched Kinsealy also had a few chances but just before the end of the game disaster struck when a Sandyhill shot took a wicked deflection that Tristan had no chance of stopping.
The game finished 1-1 which was probably a fair result to both teams who gave their all. Full credit also must go to the midfield of Dillon, Adam, Robbie, Scott and Cian who put their bodies on the line and probably covered 10 miles each on a very big, very wet pitch – they all will have sore muscles tonight.
As always excellent support from the parents who also had to put up with some hardship as the start of the game was delayed by 45 freezing cold minutes.
Nice to be back and roll on the next game.
Under 12’s v Ayrfield Utd, Sunday 25th Jan, Malahide Castle
Ayrfield Utd, league leaders unbeaten this season and with only 3 goals conceded came to Malahide Castle today and what a cracking game this league fixture turned out to be. The game started and finished at an electric pace as both teams were up for this game as soon as the ref started the game and it was the visitors that took the lead early in the first half but Kinsealy playing with the wind at their backs through everything at their opposition and were soon rewarded with great link up play between Darragh Cannon and Alex Andreucetti who put in Jack Walsh and the fox in the box made no mistake with a cool finish into the bottom corner. The home side got in front shortly after when frontman Jack O’Toole found Andreucetti just outside the box and the attacking midfielder made no mistake with a great finish and Kinsealy led at the break by 2-1. The visitors now with the wind advantage launched constant attacks but the Kinsealy defence of Tommy McKenna, Andrew Kelly, Isaac Flynn and Aaron Porter were rock solid in front of the ever reliable keeper Ben Dunne. Liam Millerick, Cannon, Andreucetti and Eoghan Leahy worked tirelessy in midfield and the front line of O’Toole, Walsh, Tom Pardy and James Sadat ran their socks off . With minutes to go Andreucetti broke free and found O’Toole who played a sublime ball to his strike partner Walsh who finished well and sealed the points for Kinsealy Boys today. Great team performance, Magnificent attendence and support from the parents, a job well done lads. Final score KBFC 3 Ayrfield 1. Man of the Match again so close to call but Jack Walsh just edges it today.
Weekend Roundup 13th and 14th Dec
U11’s Kinsealy Boys v Malahide Utd – Malahide Castle, Dec 13th 2014
On the coldest morning of the year so far, the brave lads of the under 11’s dug deep and grafted a hard won victory against local rivals Malahide. Kinsealy were on a fine run of form winning their last four on the bounce and on Saturday evening they topped the league (albeit Dunboyne could take back top spot, if they win their game in hand).
With Adam Hickey and Dillon Farrelly not available, the home team only had one sub to call upon but that didn’t last too long as Dan Copeland came off early into the first half leaving only nine players to finish out the remaining 55 minutes. Kinsealy bossed the early part of the game with the midfield of Robbie Maguire, Cian Kelly, Dan Copeland and Scott Green winning all their individual battles and creating a number of chances, but the Malahide keeper was the toughest we have faced all season and produced a series of unbelievable saves before Daragh Mooney latched onto a brilliant through ball by Scott and finished with a sublime dink over the stranded netminder.
Scott Green played a captains role and he was in excellent form, causing mayhem with his mazy runs at the Malahide defence and he was provider for the second of the day, drilling a ball across for Robbie who made no mistake and finished low into the corner to make it two.
With Dan off the pitch, Matteo took up the strikers role and was unlucky not to head home from another Scott Green cross, but with a number of Kinsealy players playing out of position and not getting a break, the defence of Luke Colbert, Cian Squires and Finn Reynolds were called upon with increasing frequency to repel the visitors. Cian Squires was full of running all day and relieved the pressure on a number of occasions by breaking up the play and steaming forward up the wing. However, Malahide eventually found a goal just before half time when Tristan just couldn’t reach a top corner shot.
The second half proved very tense for all the Kinsealy parents as the lads continued to give their all to repel the fresher Malahide team. Matteo moved to defence and made a few vital interceptions while Luke Colbert moved into a central midfield position and showed why he won the ‘players player of the year’ in 2013 with an excellent personal performance that broke up wave after wave of the opponents attacks and transitioned to counter attack with unerring accuracy. Mooney, Green, Kelly and Colbert all tested the Malahide keeper to no avail and as the Kinsealy players tired, Tristan kept the visitors at bay with a series of fine saves.
An excellent 2-1 win capped a fine 2014 for the lads who started the year with a trophy and finished it top of the league.
On behalf of the coaches and club thanks to all the parents for the continued support, hope you all have a peaceful and merry Xmas and hope to see you all in 2015.
Sunday 14/12- Under 12s Result Kinsealy Boys 4 East Meath Utd 2
It was a cold sharp morning in Malahide today and Kinsealy Boys had to overturn a one goal deficit at the break to put in a strong 2nd half performance to take the 3 pts today. Kinsealy had the majority of possession with a strong wind behind them but couldn’t use that to their advantage in the first half and although they had a string of shots, they could’nt convert their chances, mostly due to some excellent keeping from the oppositions net minder and it was a wonder strike from an East Meath midfielder that left Kinsealy keeper Ben Dunne with no chance just on the stroke of half time. Kinsealy launched attack after attack and it was midway through 2nd half when striker Jack Walsh put in Eoghan Leahy whose shot was parried by the keeper but new boy Tom Pardy was there to slot the ball home to draw the game level. Within minutes Kinsealy were in front when Noel Herra found Alex Andreucetti who unleashed a long range shot that found the bottom corner. However East Meath drew level when a long shot awkwardly bounced past keeper Dunne to even the tie. Kinsealy continued to press forward and were soon rewarded with a great move involving Darragh Cannon and Alex Andreucetti who whipped a ball into the box to find James Sadat whose volley found the far corner for a memorable first goal for another recent addition to the squad and number four came shortly after when another long range effort from Andreucetti slipped past the keeper to give the home team some breathing space. East Meath continued to apply pressure but the Kinsealy defence of captain for today Isaac Flynn, Tommy McKenna and Aaron Porter were rock solid and keeper Dunne deserves a mention for some fantastic long range saves to keep his team in the game. Special mention also to Darragh Cannon and Alex Andreucetti who put in great shifts but overall its teamwork that wins games and that’s the reason Kinsealy won the game today. Man of the match Liam Millerick
Many thanks as always today to the Parents for the constant support and for braving the conditions to cheer on the lads
Weekend Roundup 06th and 07th Dec
Saturday 06th December
The Under 9’s were on their travels yesterday and won 2-0 against Ratoath Harps who beat us earlier in the season. Great teamwork and effort by all the kids. We started off really well and a great goal by Ryan Kelly in bottom corner from about 20 yards out really put Ratoath under pressure. Second half and another goal by Cian Dunne and we cruised to victory. Great performance all round. Notable performance by Evan Pollack and Jack Doyle who worked hard every minute…. Liam Aylward and Luke Kelly who put in a great shift…. Josh who made a great last minute save to keep a clean sheet and Dillon and Daniel who were as dependable as ever. Also great support on the sidelines made the victory even sweeter. Onwards and Upwards for the Under 10’s
Under 11’s Kinsealy Boys v Shamrock Celtic – Malahide Castle Dec 6th 11.45
Kinsealy Boys looked fresh and hungry after the four week layoff and a brave Shamrock Celtic team suffered as the lads went all out and finished up 13 (yes thirteen) – 1 winners.
Everyone of the home side played an almost perfect game, the defence dealt with all the visitors attacks with calm authority and Tristan was his usual unbeatable self in between the posts. Special thanks to Andrew Kelly who joined us from the u12s today and was an absolute rock at the back.
But today was mostly about a rampant midfield and forward line who cut through the visitors defence almost at will.
The goals were spread amongst the team with Daragh Mooney netting six times (on his birthday weekend), Luke Colbert who moved to midfield from his usual defensive duties scored twice, Cian Kelly, who was a flurry of activity all day also bagged two, while the usual midfield threats of Dillon Farrelly, Scott Green and Robbie Maguire all capped fine personal performances with well earned goals. Scott was unlucky not to have his name on the scoresheet more as somehow he managed to hit the post on four separate occasions.
Matteo Airoldi continued his excellent personal development and was also unlucky to not end up with a goal after coming very close a number of times from open play and narrowly blasting a penalty past the post that had the keeper beaten. As always thanks to all the parent for their tremendous support (I think they missed match days a bit more than the lads
Sunday 07th December
Under 12’s, Willows FC 3 Kinsealy Boys 2
The Under 12’s returned to action today after a 6 week absence due to the recent bad weather and made the trip to Poppintree Park this morning and there were goals aplenty. Kinsealy took the lead midway through the first half when Liam Millerick found Alex Andreucetti with a sublime pass and the freescoring attacking midfielder made no mistake with a fine finish into the bottom corner giving the keeper no chance but Willows dug in and turned the game on its head with 2 goals in the space of 5 minutes and thats the way it remained up to half time. Kinsealy launched attack after attack but could not find the crucial goal to level the game and midway through the 2nd half a long range effort from a Willows midfielder found the top corner leaving Kinsealy keeper Ben Dunne with no chance to give the home team breathing space.. Kinsealy played out and out attack to try and get back in the game and were denied chance after chance until striker Jack Walsh fired Darragh Cannon’s cross home to make the game 3-2, Kinsealy tried very hard to get back on level terms but just ran out of time but a great team effort nevertheless with some outstanding performances, The Willows Manager came over and spoke to the lads after the game to say they were a credit to their club in the way the played and were unlucky not to get something from the game Man of the Match Darragh Cannon just shades it, outstanding individual effort and thanks to the great support from the parents who travelled on a cold Winters morning, much appreciated.
Weekend Roundup 18th and 19th Oct
Saturday 01st November
Under 8’s Kinsealy Boys FC 1, Lusk Utd 3
Our U8’s Yellow had a ball today as they played their hearts out against the unbeaten Lusk Utd. Game finished 3-1 to Lusk but the score was the last thing on their minds. Great game!
Under 10’s Kinsealy Boys FC 3, Darndale Utd 3
We drew 3-3 with Darndale away from home. 2-0 up at half time . Two defensive errors saw darndale come back into 2-2. However we went all out attack and won a penalty for our effort to go 3-2 up and give Aaron Duffy his 2nd goal. Great possession and we were cruising to a victory when a freak goalkeeping error gave Darndale a draw against the run of play. Looking forward to a rematch in Kinsealy soon. Overall a good performance away from home and the Under 10’s are just getting better and stronger.
Under 11’s Kinsealy Boys 5 – Swords Celtic 3
Kinsealy continued their winning form with a fine home win against a game Swords Celtic. The home side looked up for it from the first whistle, with the opening midfield of Hickey, Green, Kelly and Farrelly winning almost all of the opening exchanges. However the first half belonged to Dillon Farrelly who tormented the visitors from his right wing position. He set up Daragh Mooney early on, who just shot over the bar but the two combined again moments later and the striker made no mistake this time. The next goal came from a neat exchange of passes between Scott Green and Dillon that carved the Swords defence apart and Farrelly finished coolly into the bottom corner.
The visitors were mostly restricted to counter attacks in the first half which were dealt with effectively by the defence of Reynolds, Colbert and Squires. However an uncharacteristic lapse of concentration in the midfield led to Swords getting one back before the break. Dillon was unlucky not to make the gap bigger with a sweet strike that rattled the crossbar.
The second half saw Kinsealy take a two goal lead when Scott Green broke up the play in midfield, skipped past a few Swords challenges and tee up Daragh who finished low past the keeper from just outside the box. Swords were coming into the game more now and nabbed a second when Kinsealy failed to clear their lines after keeper Tristan could just parry a stinging shot and the visitors striker prodded home from two yards out, but almost from the tip off Kinsealy scored a very similar goal when Finn Reynolds whipped a free kick into the Swords area, the ball fell to Mooney on the back post and he netted easily for his second hat trick in two weeks.
Swords pushed forward hard in search of something from the game and the home defence were having to work much harder to keep them out. Dan, Luke and Finn all made timely tackles to keep the attacks at bay. Cian Kelly in the centre of midfield worked his socks off and Keane Squires and Robbie Maguire provided an outlet on the wings. However the Swords central midfielder produced an unstoppable shot from 25 yard to bring the game back to 4 -3.
Swords really thought there was a result for them now and piled forward, but Kinsealy caught them on the counter attack when Adam Hickey took down a long clearance and finished low for his fourth of the season. Matteo came onto the left wing and was unlucky not to open his account late in the game but the match finished 5 -3 and was another excellent league win for Kinsealy.
Thanks to local rivals Swords for a thrilling game and their keeper was a strong contender for man of the match.
As always the parents provided massive encouragement for the team, their support is really appreciated by the lads (and managers)
Weekend Roundup 18th and 19th Oct
Saturday 19th October
Under 8’s Kinsealy Boys FC 3 , Swords Celtic 4
Great game with both side almost inseparable. KBFC down 3-1 at half
time but never gave up and came back to 3-3 , but Swords scored in the
last minute of the game to grab the winner. Man Of The match – Alex Power
Under 10’s Kinsealy Boys FC 1 Rathoath Harps 2
The Under 10’s have been upgraded to higher league due to their recent excellent form and were unlucky to lose at home for the first time this season against Rathoath Harps. Jack Doyle deserves a special mention as he scored a wonder goal yesterday but there is no doubt this team will bounce back next weekend
Under 11’s Balbriggan FC 2 – Kinsealy Boys 6
Following the disappointment of last weeks defeat and with a full squad to choose from, Kinsealy travelled north to Balbriggan FC for their first away league game of the season. The visitors showed their determination from the kick off by winning a series of corners which were expertly taken by Scott Green and caused havoc among the home defence almost leading to an early away goal. Kinsealy were dominant in the early exchanges and it was another corner from Green that led to the opener, when Adam Hickey took advantage of some confusion in the box and rifled a right foot rocket into the roof of the net.
This seemed to awaken the home side who pushed forward themselves and began to find some space behind the Kinsealy defence of Finn Reynolds, Dan Copeland and Keane Squires, however thanks to the ever reliable Tristan Donoghue in goal the away side managed to absorb this pressure and mount a number of swift counter attacks. Kinsealys second came from one of these when Dillon Farrelly switched the ball to Daragh Mooney on the right, Mooney beat his man and played a cross into Robbie Maguire who was desperately unlucky not to bag a goal as the keeper just kept out his shot, however Mooney had not given up on the chance and managed to slide in at the back to finish into an empty net. This goal coupled with a tactical switch putting Luke Colbert into his customary central defence position and Daniel Copeland in a man marking role on the dangerous Balbriggan central midfielder settled the game down and Kinsealy began to pass and move the ball with increasing confidence. Both Dillon and Robbie on the wins began to get past their men with frequency and Cian Kelly with Dan provided the steel in the heart of midfield.
Kinsealy finished off the half strongly with another goal from Daragh who received a ball from Cian Kelly and outpaced the home defence and from a very tight angle slotted the ball past the keeper into the bottom left hand corner.
However, Balbriggan who had won their opener, started the second half like a changed team and piled the pressure on the Dan, Luke and Finn at the back who needed their midfield mates to drop deep to help deal with the onslaught, the home side were determined to get the next goal but were denied that opportunity when Scott Green broke up a Balbriggan attack and picked out Mooney who held the ball up and fed Green who continued his run and dodged a number of desperate Balbriggan tackles to tee up his mate Daragh who buried a right foot drive for his hat trick.
The home side did not let their heads drop and continued to press for a goal which arrived when they beat Tristan for the first time with a shot that struck the post, the ball ricocheted across the line and the ref called it as a goal. Kinsealy were using their bench well with Keane Squires in particular moving to midfield and proving very effective in keeping the home side at bay, but Balbriggan found a way through again when their forward deftly flicked a backheel past Tristan who had no chance of reaching the ball. Kinsealy were really under the cosh but managed a fifth when the ball broke to Mooney who swivelled to finished a left foot half volley past the keeper. Finn Reynolds capped a fine personal performance with the sixth for Kinsealy when he came forward to edge of the box for a corner, the defence failed to clear properly and the ball dropped to Finn who made no mistake in belting the ball past a crowded penalty box into the roof of the net.
The game then opened up and new player Matteo came on and exerted an influence on the game, before the ref blew the final whistle Dillon, Scott and Adam were unlucky not to score as Kinsealy kept pressing for a seventh.
The game finished 6 -2 for deserving winners Kinsealy, thanks as always to their parents for their exceptional support of the lads.
Sunday 19th October
Under 12s Result Kinsealy Boys 3 Bohemian FC 2
The Under 12’s played host to visitors Bohemians today in very blustery conditions in Malahide Castle in this league clash and it proved to be an end to end encounter from start to finish. The visitors played with the wind behind them for the first half and the Kinsealy defence held firm and if it wasn’t for keeper Ben Dunne who was on top form the scoreline would have been so different as he pulled off a string of magnificent saves. Dunne was also served well by his defence captain for today Andrew Kelly, Tommy McKenna, Noel Herra and Isaac Flynn were all rock solid and kept their focus throughout and it was only an unfortunate deflection from a clearance from a Bohemian corner that ricocheted off an Kinsealy player and ended up in the net that separated the teams at half time to give the visitors a one goal advantage.
Kinsealy came out on an all out attack from the start of the second half and with Darragh Cannon, Eoghan Leahy and Tom Pardy all bursting forward down the flanks it was only a matter of time before the drew level and when Noel Herra played Alex Andreucetti in with a defence splitting pass, Andreucetti made no mistake with a super finish into the bottom corner. New player James Sadat put himself about and was unlucky when his effort just flashed over after good linkup with Pardy. Kinsealy got ahead them in the game when lone striker Jack Walsh did great work to keep the ball in play and also put Andreucetti in for a one on one with the Bohemian keeper and again the free scoring attacking midfielder found the net with another cool finish. Bohemians came back at Kinsealy who had to call on keeper Ben Dunne who again pulled off some matchwinning saves but they did draw level when play continued after defensive midfielder Liam Millerick got poll-axed and should have really had a free awarded but the ref played on and the Bohemian player managed to toe poke the ball passed keeper Dunne to draw the game level again. It was end to end stuff from there on in from both sides with Kinsealy going close with efforts from Leahy and Cannon but again it was good play down the left hand side from Leahy, Herra and Pardy and yet again Andreucetti nipped in and put the ball through the Bohemian keepers legs to score what proved to be the winner and Andreucetti’s hat-trick.
McKenna, Kelly, Millerick all threw themselves in front of whatever the visitors launched at Kinsealy and with only a minute to go Andreucetti played in Walsh bravely got to a 50\50 ball with the Bohemian keeper first but felt the full force of his challenge to be taken down just outside the box, Noel Herra stepped up and saw his effort that was heading for the top corner excellently tipped around by the Bohemian keeper. There was no time to take the corner as the ref blew the full time and Kinsealy took their first league points with a standing ovation from the parents who gave the lads fantastic support as always today. Man of the match was keeper Ben Dunne but all the lads were outstanding today a great all round team performance.
Weekend Roundup 11th and 12th Oct
Saturday 11th October
Under 8’s Yellow’s played hosts to Willow FC and went down by 5 goals to 2 but a very positive performance from the lads who are making progress by working very hard in training. Man of the match Aaron Garry.
Under 11’s
Kinsealy Boys 1 – Dunboyne FC 2 (Malahide Castle, 11 October 2014)
Kinsealy were unlucky in their first U 11c league game of the season to finish just behind a very strong Dunboyne outfit. Although they were missing two players (Luke Colbert and Dillon Farrelly) the home side took an early lead with an opportunistic strike from in form Cian Kelly who latched onto a loose ball on the edge of the box and struck a sweet right foot drive through a crowded penaly box into the net Dunboyne reacted to going behind and pushed hard for the equaliser bring the best out of the defence of Keane Squires, Finn Reynolds and Dan Copeland, keeper Tristan Donoghue also pulled off some acrobatics to maintain the lead. That changed in the twentieth minute when the referee awarded Dunboyne a free kick on the edge of the Kinsealy box for a rather dubious handball.
The Dunboyne number 10 stepped up and curled an unstoppable shot around the wall for the equaliser. Dunboyne also had a goal disallowed for some pushing in the box from a corner, this let off sparked Kinsealy back to life and they finished the half strongly but the match remained level at the break.
The home side piled on the pressure early in the second half and worked the Dunboyne defence and keeper with a number of corners, but the closest they came to a goal was when Daragh Mooney and Adam Hickey both had chances cleared off the line in quick succession. The Kinsealy midfield of Scott Green, Robbie Maguire, Adam Hickey and Robbie Maguire were having to work their socks off to contain their Dunboyne counterparts, however disaster struck in the final five minutes when the visitors combined well and finished a move with a strike that Tristan could do nothing about.
The lack of substitutes meant that the Kinsealy players were all out on their feet but that didn’t stop them trying for the equaliser right up until the final whistle, however today they finished second best to an excellent Dunboyne side.
Thanks again to all the parents and family for their support of the lads who gave their all on the day.
Sunday 12th October
Under 12’s
Kinsealy Boys 3 Swords Celtic 7 (Malahide Castle)
The under 12’s unbeaten run came to an end today with their first league game of the season in a local derby against visitors Swords Celtic. Kinsealy were in control right up to the middle of the second half and led until the last 15 mins when Swords Celtic scored 4 goals in 5 minutes to run out winners in a game where the final result did’nt justify Kinsealy’s early dominance. Kinsealy’s striker Jack Walsh turned provider this week setting up Darragh Cannon and Eoghan Leahy for first half strikes to see the home side lead at the break 2-1.
Swords levelled the game early in the 2nd half but Kinsealy edged in front again with a finish from the in form Alex Andreucetti, Swords levelled the game for the third time from a free kick and then hit 4 goals in a five minute period to kill the game off and take the three points. There was a great attendance from Parents and their families on this Sunny October Sunday in Malahide and thanks for the continued support, this group of players have a great team spirit and will bounce back from this result. Man of the Match today was Andrew Kelly .
Weekend Roundup 04th and 05th Oct
Saturday 04th October
Under 10’s Kinsealy Boys FC 6 Grange Baldoyle 3
Another great win for the Under 10’s team and again with some exceptional performances. We hosted Grange Baldoyle FC and they put up a good fight but the U10’s have been unbeaten at home this season. A rocky start seen us a goal down within the first 2 minutes but with some encouragement from the parents and managers Kinsealy settled into the game and the goals start coming. Dillon opened the scoring followed by a great free kick by Cian Dunne. Liam Aylward came on to make an immediate impact with a man of the match performance and a hat trick thrown in. Aaron Duffy kept up his impressive goal scoring record with another goal. The whole team played a part with great performances by all. A well deserved 6-3 victory and this team just getting stronger every week – well done lads.
Match Report – (U 11’s – Kinsealy Boys (7) v Howth Celtic (0) Malahide Castle 04/10/14)
A magnificent seven.
Kinsealy Boys welcomed Howth to their new home ground in Malahide Castle, the pair have been regular opponents since their under 8 days in a series of close match ups.
Following the opening match formalities and the tip off, Scott Green and Dillon Farrelly applied pressure on their Howth counterparts winning the early exchanges, Kinsealy got the ball wide to Adam Hickey occupying the right wing on a number of occasions but he was closed off by the Howth defence with a number of crunching challenges. Since the start of the season, Daragh Mooney has been enjoying a rich run of form and that continued today as he latched onto a loose ball and went wide on the left to slot past the keeper for the his first goal of the day. Not long after the Howth tip off Mooney was again on the mark as received the ball from Scott Green and nutmegged a defender to finish coolly past the keeper.
Kinsealy were well on top now and were controlling the play with some nice passing and movement from the midfield, Howth applied some pressure but the defence of Keane Squires, Dan Copeland and Finn Reynolds made sure that keeper Tristan Donoghue had a quiet first half. Cian Kelly moved to midfield and took advantage of an excellent advantage decision by the referee to bury his shot past the keeper for the third of the day after Mooney had been taken down on the right wing. Adam Hickey moved into the centre forward position and his movement caused problems for the Howth defence and although coming close to scoring on a number of occasions, his luck just wasn’t in today. The home side were now rampant and closed out the half with goals by Dillon Farrelly and Daragh Mooney to complete his hat trick.
Howth were never going to allow Kinsealy the same space in the second half and with the benefit of a strong wind they pushed hard for an opener, however Kinsealy stood firm with Robbie Maguire and Scott Green producing some excellent clearances. Finn Reynolds played the full 60 minutes today and kept Howth very quiet on their right, even managing to go on a few forward runs to relieve the second half pressure. Despite having a quiet first half in goal Tristan showed that the knee injury that he suffered has not slowed his reflexes as he kept Howth at bay with a series of excellent saves.
Kinsealy played on the counter attack for the second half and generated a number of chances with Keane Squires denied by the keeper, Mooney hitting the bar and Maguire also unlucky. Cian Kelly and Dillon Farrelly both got a second each after excellent individual runs saw them beat a number of Howth defenders before smashing the ball past the keeper.
The under 11’s remain unbeaten this season and enjoy tremendous support from their parents every week.
Sunday 05th October
Under 8’s v WFTA
Our under 8s Blue team continued their impressive performances with another convincing win on Sunday. With goals coming from all positions and some great displays from Raul Stan, Adam Heeny,Jack Farrelly and Owen McCarthy and a man of the match performance from the ever consistant Cian Kelly.
The passing and set pieces were top class and they showed toughness against a good physical side. Well done to the whole team again and hopefully we can keep improving over season.
Balscadden Boys 1 Kinsealy Boys FC 6, Ring Commons
The Under 12’s maintained their unbeaten record this season with a confident performance away to Balscadden Boys today with 3 players each getting a brace of goal to take all 3 pts. Alex Andreucetti, Jack Walsh and Daragh Mooney all found the net with a goal in both halves today and with the Silent Sideline in operation this weekend, the lads let their football do the talking on the pitch. Darragh Cannon and Liam Millerick marshalled the midfield today and gave great backup to the frontmen while full backs Aaron Porter and Noel Herra were constant threats with their overlapping runs throughout the game while captain Tommy McKenna lead his team well today keeping things tight at the back and also made the occasional burst from the back. Ben Dunne did a great job in goal and was very quick off his line when he had to be. Jack O’Toole added his strength to the attack when introduced and held the ball up very well and two new players to the squad Thomas Pardy and James Sadat also played well and worked very hard when called upon during the game.
There was some great passing and linkup play and the goals in the 2nd half were all very well taken with great finishes from Andreucetti and Walsh and a great header from Mooney. Kinsealy hit the woodwork 6 times over the course of the game with efforts from Andreucetti, Walsh and Millerick but the kept pressing throughout and were worthy winners at the final whistle. Well done to all the lads and keep up the good work.
Weekend Roundup 27th and 28th Sept
Sunday 28th September
U8’s v Killegland AFC
Another awesome Sunday morning by the under 8’s as they took on Killegland away from home
They showed that all the hard work put in in training is really starting pay off and with the new members of the team they are looking like a force to be reckoned with.
With goals from Adam, Tim, Camryn and Ben, and a man of the match performance from new team member Joseph, this team is really getting into the swing of things and putting the lessons from their coaches into practise and they are working!!
U12’s v Raheny United
The U12’s continued their good form today with a fantastic battling performance to come from behind on two occasions to beat Raheny Utd 4-2. From the Refs whistle it was obvious after a couple of minutes that this was going to be a tough game, Raheny came with a big squad, a lot of them physically strong and tall lads and put the game up to Kinsealy when they took the lead after ten minutes with a finish that keeper Ben Dunne could do little about. Kinsealy got back into the game from a corner floated into the area by Darragh Cannon who found Jack Walsh whose clever flick to Alex Andreucetti then teed up teammate Tommy McKenna and his strike found the bottom corner of the net drawing the game level. It was end to end play with little separating the sides until Raheny got a second when they converted from picking up a stray pass.
But the home side levelled the scores again soon after from another set piece with Cannon again the supplier picking out Andreucetti who made no mistake finishing from inside the area and that’s the way it remained at the break.
The fast pace of the game continued throughout and there were chances for both sides early on with efforts from Cannon, Andreucetti, Aaron Porter all 3 constant threats throughout the game was followed up by an effort off the post from sub Daragh Mooney who was causing all sorts of trouble for the Raheny defence and Mooney did’nt have to wait long for his goal after he was played in by Porter to finish well and put the home side in front for the first time in the game. He nearly doubled his tally some after when he met another great cross from Porter to see his effort smash off the underside of the crossbar. Kinsealy dug in and doubled their lead soon after when Mooney pressed the Raheny Keeper whose clearance deflected off a Raheny defender to bounce into the net and give the home side a two goal advantage. Raheny launched everything at Kinsealy but the home side defended well with two fantastic match winning saves from keeper Dunne and some great defending from captain for the day Andrew Kelly, Issac Flynn, Porter and McKenna and they were backed up from a very hardworking midfield of Cannon, Andreucetti, Thomas Pardy, Eoghan Leahy and Liam Millerick. Kinsealy were unlucky not to have a penalty awarded when striker Walsh was hauled down near the end of the game but they dug in and seen the game out and it was another great team effort from all the lads that battled hard for the 3 points today.

Under 8’s Yellow v Sandyhill Celtic
The Under 8’s travelled to Naul Park, Ballymun with only 6 players yesterday to play their first league game agains Sandyhill Celtic. When they arrived and seen the size of the opposition the managers thought it was game over.
Within seconds we were 1-0 nil up, then minutes later 2-0, then 3.
By half time it was 6-0 with Pierce Rooney sitting on a hat trick, we calmed
it down a bit (8v5). Sandyhill got 2 back back and game finished 12-2
The moment of the game was Jack Farrelly who was playing in goal caught everyone by surprise (including managers!) and dribbled the ball off his own goal line past 7 Sandyhill players and knocked it in the back of the net! to bring the score to 11-2. Joseph Hickey almost got his hat trick with 2 goals under his belt, Defender Tom Aylward scored 2 crackers and striker Cillian Pio scored 2 great goals, Jack Farrelly with 1 and Pierse Rooney with 4. An excellent debut from Aaron Garry who played a stormer for his first ever match showing unreal determination throughout.
Two very proud managers who were hoping for a tight loss went home with a huge win!

Under 11’s v Swords Celtic
match report – kinsealy boys u11s v swords celtic (13/09/14 – malahide castle) – result 4-4
Kinsealy boys started their first home game of the season in fine form with scott green netting after 2 minutes, the game then settled into a good competitive match with neither team managing to get the upper hand for most of the first half. swords equalised but kinsealy managed to inch ahead just before the break with new signing finn Reynolds converting a cross from Dillon farrelly.
Daragh Mooney came out of goal for the second half and managed to score one bringing a 3-2 lead back to kinsealy after swords netted just after half time. Swords continued to apply the pressure on stand in keeper Keane Squires and got two unanswered goals. Kinsealy showed typical determination in chasing a result and with the game nearly over, Daniel Copeland who had stood firm in defence all day, jinked inside a wild tackle and curved a sweet right foot shot over a crowded penalty area into the top corner for the equaliser.
Sunday 14/09
The Under 12’s made the trip to Maynooth today for what turned out to be a very close battle with the game ending in a 1-1 draw. Kinsealy started the game well with Alex Andreucetti playing in the captain for today Jack Walsh who forced the Maynooth keeper into a great stop early on. Walsh then saw a fantastic volley come back of the post when he latched on to keeper Ben Dunne’s long clearance. The early pressure paid off midway through the first half when Noel Herra started a great five man move by playing the ball to Walsh who flicked the ball to Liam Millerick who in turn found Scott Green who then played a super ball through to Alex Andreucetti who finished low in the corner to give Kinsealy Boys a deserved lead and that’s the way it stayed until half time thanks to some great defending from Tommy McKenna, Aaron Porter and Noel Herra with keeper Ben Dunne making a great save just before the break. Maynooth levelled the score early in the second half and apart from a deflected shot that keeper Dunne turned onto the bar it was Kinsealy that had most of the possession and chances. Andreucetti turned provider to Darragh Cannon who strike went narrowly over and Kinsealy nearly grabbed a late winner when Walsh and Jack O’Toole combined well to play in Andreucetti who was again denied by the Maynooth keeper who had a busy day.
Well done to all the lads, it was a fantastic team effort and keep up the good work.
Weekend Roundup 06th and 07th Sept

Under 11′s were also away to Laytown Utd and went behind early on in the game but leveled the score just before half time with a strike from Daragh Mooney. Tristan Donohue pulled off some great saves in goal to keep Kinsealy in the game before Adam Hickey put the visitors ahead and Daragh Mooney sealed the points with a late penalty to give the lads a winning start to the season but a great shift was put in from all the team,
Sunday 07/09
Under 8’s DDSL
Our Under 8’s who play 2 games each Sunday began the season well with wins in their opening games. A brilliant hat-trick from Camryn Donohue and Cian Kelly combined with goals from most of the team helped us to a well deserved win. A man of the match performance from Diarmuid Buckley with some excellent defending ensured we did’nt concede too many goals. All in all a great all round performance from the team so lets hope it continues.
Under 12′s made the trip to Belcamp Park today to play Priorswood and came away winners with a 7-3 victory. There were goals aplenty with hat-tricks from Jack Walsh and Alex Andreucetti and a strike from Daragh Cannon to give the visitors all 3 points and they played some great football especially in the first half and only for the Priorswood keeper there could have been more goals but a fantastic all round performance from the lads got the season off to a winning start. Kinsealy came out of the traps early on and pressed Priorswood quickly and the early pressure soon paid off when a super corner from Eoghan Leahy picked out Jack Walsh who made no mistake with a great finish into the corner and within minutes the lead was doubled when Walsh latched onto an Andreucetti flick and finished with confidence. Walsh then repayed the favour to Andreucetti who made no mistake with a low shot into the corner of the net. With only six minutes on the clock Liam Millerick played a super ball to Walsh again who made no mistake to grab his hat-trick and Kinsealy’s fourth. Kinsealy played some great passing football and dominated possession and some great link up play between Daragh Mooney and Leahy played Daragh Cannon in who carried the ball into the area and made no mistake with a fine finish that took a slight deflection. Scott Green was hauled down just outside the area and Kinsealy were awarded a free which Andreucetti stepped up to curl around the wall for his second of the game. Priorswood grabbed a consolation just before half time but it was well and truly Kinsealy’s half. Kinsealy kept up the pressure in the 2nd half and went close on numerous occassions with efforts from Tommy McKenna, Aaron Porter and Eoghan Leahy and despite conceding another goal midway through the second half, Andreucetti grabbed his hat-trick, the second hat-trick of the game when his header from a Daragh Cannon corner met the far corner. Noel Herra was very unlucky to see his effort go marginally wide when he made a great solo run from one end of the pitch to the other beating about 5 players. Priorswood added another consolation with the last kick of the game but a job well done by Kinsealy Boys U12’s and a good start to the new season.
